Practical buying guide
Ask clearly. Verify carefully.
Use this checklist to prepare a tractor or implement discussion and compare written offers on the same basis.
1. Define the work.
Write down the main task, operating conditions and intended destination. If equipment must work with an existing tractor, include its exact model and relevant technical information.
2. Confirm the actual equipment.
- Request the complete offered specification, condition and included accessories.
- Ask for current dated photographs and, where useful, a walk-around view.
- Check identification and serial details against the documents and equipment.
- Arrange an independent inspection when appropriate.
3. Check compatibility.
Compare the actual power, linkage, PTO, hydraulic, weight and transport requirements. A matching brand name or general photograph does not establish compatibility.
4. Read a written quotation.
Confirm the product price, quantity, currency, payment terms, validity and precisely what is included. Keep equipment, freight, insurance, duties, destination clearance, port charges and inland delivery distinct unless a written quotation expressly includes them.
5. Agree delivery responsibilities.
Confirm the delivery term, named place, destination, documentation and who handles each cost and step. Do not infer arrival dates or import eligibility from a general website description.
6. Verify before paying.
Verify the business and payment destination independently. Resolve inconsistent details, unclear documents or pressure to pay quickly before making a commitment.
It does not replace an inspection, professional advice or destination-specific checks. Ask the appropriate authorities or advisers about requirements that apply to your transaction.
